A Life Saved: Hugo Pereira’s Story
On January 2, 2025, Hugo Pereira, 54, suffered a massive heart attack,blocking a major artery. SHN’s emergency and cardiac teams worked relentlessly for 43 minutes to save his life. “Not everyone gets a second chance, soI am going to live mine to the fullest. The incredible doctors and healthcare team at SHN never gave up. They made me feel loved and gave me a second life,”says Hugo.
Hugo required emergency procedures, intensive care, and ongoing cardiac rehabilitation. Thanks to donors like you, who fund essential care and equipment, Hugo now has a second chance at life.
