More than 68,000 cancer care visits take place at Scarborough Health Network each year, and demand continues to rise.
Our teams provide chemotherapy and other critical cancer treatments across two aging clinics that no longer offer the space, privacy or comfort patients deserve.
With donor support, SHN is building the new Northpine Cancer Care Centre. This modern and welcoming space will bring cancer treatment together in one location at Scarborough General Hospital and allow our teams to improve patient flow through the centre, creating efficiencies to better accommodate current and future growth.

Building the Northpine Cancer Care Centre
The new Northpine Cancer Care Centre will be designed around the needs of patients and families. The centre will include:
- Modern treatment stations with greater privacy
- 20 examination and counselling rooms
- Dedicated procedure and isolation rooms
- More comfortable waiting areas
- A larger Oncology Pharmacy and Cancer Care Centre Drug Store
The transformation will allow SHN toaccommodate more than 20,000 additional patient visits and provide acalmer, more dignified cancer care experience.
