Dialysis Expansion at General and Centenary Hospitals

Donor support has helped create two new state-of-the-art dialysis spaces:

  • Centenary Hospital – The new Ted Rogers Hemodialysis Unit opened in 2026 with 21 treatment stations in a modern, purpose-built space. The unit offers greater comfort and privacy, enhanced infection prevention and eco-friendly water recycling technology.
  • General Hospital – The TD Hemodialysis Isolation Unit opened in December 2025, providing upgraded treatment stations and dedicated isolation spaces for higher-acuity patients while improving safety and infection prevention.

Together, these investments are supporting more than 6,000 patients and 96,000 dialysis treatments each year.

As demand for kidney care continues to rise, donor support helps ensure patients have access to the specialized equipment, spaces and care they need, close to home.
