The 11th annual Fête Chinoise Signature Event will support SHN's Birchmount Hospital Redevelopment.

The 11th annual Fête Chinoise Signature Event delivered an unforgettable evening of culture, design and performance, bringing its Bold New Beginnings theme to life at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto on Feb. 7. More than 600 guests were immersed in contemporary expressions of Chinese art and heritage, from live performances and visual installations to curated culinary experiences.

Through the collective generosity of the Fête Chinoise community, an outstanding $138,000 was raised for Scarborough hospitals.

The funds will support key priorities at SHN, including the Birchmount Hospital Redevelopment. The new Patient Tower will add 200+ new inpatient beds, nearly doubling capacity, introduce more than 10 new operating suites to expand surgical care and deliver the first major upgrade to the site in 40 years.

Fête Chinoise stands out for the way it honours tradition while looking toward the future. It connects generations, inspires pride and strengthens support for Scarborough hospitals so everyone in our community can access world-class care close to home.

We are deeply grateful to the Fête Chinoise committee, community, donors, and the platform’s founder Deborah Lau-Yu for helping advance a bold new future for Birchmount Hospital and the families who rely on it.
