The Challenge
Diagnostic imaging is often the first step in a patient’s healthcare journey, identifying the problem and informing the treatment options. SHN offers a full range of diagnostic imaging modalities across our three hospitals, with General and Centenary hospitals affiliated with the Ontario Breast Screening Program. However, when the Love, Scarborough campaign started, our diagnostic imaging services were scattered across five different locations at the General Hospital, some of which are over 65 years old.
Your Impact
Thanks to donor support, in February 2025, SHN opened the brand new Northpine Diagnostic Imaging Department at the General Hospital! Welcoming the most innovative and ground-breaking technology, it combines all imaging services at General into one easy-to-access location, improving the patient experience.
