March marks the beginning of Ramadan, a holy time of giving and spiritual growth celebrated by Muslims around the world. The Scarborough Muslim Community have been leaders for over 10 years in championing healthcare in Scarborough through various fundraising initiatives. Since 2012, they have hosted an annual Family Day Walkathon, fundraising dinners and visited local mosques to spread awareness and help us raise crucial funds for Scarborough Health Network.

In 2018, the Scarborough Muslim Community stepped up by pledging $250,000 and have surpassed that goal by $100,000 reaching an incredible milestone of $355,000 for our Scarborough hospitals!

Last month, we came together with members from mosques, businesses, elected officials, and leadership in the community to celebrate the Scarborough Muslim Communities’ amazing contributions to our hospitals, and to thank them for their continued dedication in supporting us. The Scarborough Muslim Community has now stepped up and announced a new pledge of $1 Million to be raised and we are so grateful for their incredible generosity in making so much possible for SHN! A special thank you to the entire Scarborough Muslim Community Committee for their leadership and commitment to our hospitals.

As Ramadan begins, we reflect on the generous contributions made by The Scarborough Muslim Community and extend our gratitude to our generous donors and supporters. During this time of giving, we encourage everyone to join in on supporting the Scarborough Muslim Communities pledge.

By helping the Scarborough Muslim Community reach their generous pledge of $1 Million, you are helping shape the future of healthcare in Scarborough.
